To go deeper in your faith and relationship to others, consider participating in a “Life” group or a “Life” class. Some people enjoy a large church because of the many ministries they offer while others prefer a small, intimate church.  In I Corinthians 9:22, the Apostle Paul said: “whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ.”  That is our goal in Life Groups/Classes, to connect with others so we can share Christ within the setting of deep and meaningful friendship and relationship.  

How Life Groups and Classes work

1.       A Variety of groups

Our groups/classes are as varied as we are! Our Small Group/Class leaders use their gifts and passions to create groups that allow others to join with them in serving God. Whatever the age, interest, or location there is one that is just right for you.

2. Three semesters

New groups/classes start and stop three times a year - spring, summer, and fall semesters. Each semester is kicked off with an online Life Group Directory.  Info will be available on our website: vlchurch.com.  

During the summer, we offer Bible and BBQ groups.  The purpose of these groups is simple - to connect God’s people by gathering together during the nice summer (Ohio) weather!  The concept is based on on Acts 2:42, which says, “And they (believers) devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”  As such, these Bible and BBQ groups are defined by the following elements:

•          Fellowship – Conversation, connection and getting to know one another
•          Meal – Enjoying a meal together
•          Prayer – Praying with and for one another
•          God’s word – Open up God’s word to discuss how it working in your life

The children’s ministry at VLC is thrilled to love, guide, and teach children about God!  Starting with babies and going all the through 6^th grade, our VLC Kids Pathway is here to support your child’s growth and spiritual development. Early childhood focuses on learning the attributes of the God who made and loves them! Grade school students track along with the parents in engaging lessons that focus on Bible literacy, application and facilitates authentic conversations about God between student and parent! Wednesday Night Intensives,  Fabulous Fifth Sundays, VBS, Bible Challenges, and summer Family Fun Nights provide tons of fun, much needed fellowship and encouragement, and great Biblical learning! The VLC Kids Pathway is here to support your child growth in God!

Victory Life Students:

Victory Life Students is the student ministry of Victory Life Church. The heart and vision of VLS is to point students to Jesus who writes every life story. The age group of the ministry is grades 7^th-12^th. Our main gatherings called, “Youth Nights” take place on Sunday evenings from 5pm-7pm. Youth Nights consist of worship, a message and after parties which provide a space for community and for students to grow together. Our desire is for students to grow in their giftings and grow closer to Jesus.

Are you as student who wants to serve in Victory Life Students?

If so, you can serve in areas such as:

•          Worship Team: Leads our students into worship on Youth Nights.
•          Production Team: Runs sound, lighting, and visuals during our Youth Nights.
•          Greeting & Café Team: Welcomes our students as they walk in the door and runs our student led café.
•          Student influencers: Students learn how to follow Jesus and to use their influence to impact others.
•          Creative Team: This team takes pictures, videos, creates graphics and runs our social media for our student ministry.

As one uses their gifts to bring glory to Jesus, they also are making an impact amongst their peers, their world, and the world around them. This is how we have decided to help students feel welcome and belong in a ministry that they feel comfortable inviting their friends as well.
